I thought you all might like to see some of the pencils for the book. Here are a couple of examples. Below is an image of the first panel of page 14. I'm not entirely certain why, but I really like the way the composition of this panel worked out.
Below are the original pencils page for pages 2 and 17. You can see that on page 2 I made a few changes before the final inks. The bandits were originally supposed to be half dressed, which is why Gaer is shoeless. I originally had him in a helmet, the idea being that he hadnt had time to put on anything else.
In the end we decided to go with the bandits fully clothed, abd to have Gaer bare headed, since that made it easier for him to show emotion. You can also see that I was'nt entirely happy with the placement of Haith's legs on page 17, so I digitally re-sketched the right leg (her right, not the camera's) in photoshop before inking.
